My name is Natalia Netselya. You might have heard about me, all thanks to the popular TV-show “Das Supertalent 2010”, Germany. Love for arts was born together with me, that is why I had no doubts choosing a profession. Although I have professional qualification and architect’s diploma, I keep on learning every day, because the world is diverse and changeable, it is alive, and that’s its essence and value. I am mostly interested in human beings, their life stories and paths that have left traces on their face features, eyes’ reflections, and every articulation of their bodies…
Since 2006 I have worked in the sand-art technique. During this time I have realized that sand-painting is always a discovery, a step to the unknown; sand is not an instrument of art, it is the artist itself, it lives its own life and has its own rules to dictate. It doesn’t put up with haste and fuss, but it will not let you go around in circles; thus it encourages the artist to achieve new knowledge and skills, to reveal new feelings, new emotions and impressions. Working with sand one can live many stories which never repeat again, they are always unique. To realize this, one needs not only experience, but knowledge as well. During these years I have gained colossal experience. Many personal stories and interesting projects were created, and for all those wonderful opportunities I am grateful to my customers!
Here comes the most important thing. When I was a student at the art college my teacher of academic drawing gave me the primary knowledge, the most important idea for any artist, to my mind. He used to say it quite often: “…you should fall in love with what you are going to draw. Because only the loving eye can see the truth, the internal, the most important… the loving eye can see what the indifferent one can not.” These words have become the motto for my work, that is why each story created by me is the story of the artist’s love for her work.
